Car Following

Vehicle and foot followers should find out at the meet where the vantage points are and go straight to them. This will help prevent congestion on the public highways during the hunt. Please don’t be afraid to ask anyone who looks like they know what they are doing!

Hunt followers should not cross the drag lines after the runners have gone through, as the scent is carried by feet or vehicle tyres away from the true hunting line.

You should not block any gateways, lanes or other openings.

When following the hunt on a public highway, make sure not to follow too closely. This leads to congestion and inconveniences other road users.

Vehicles should not be taken onto private land without the specific permission of that landowner.

Lastly, owners of 4WD vehicles, you don't need to prove that they can plough deep ruts in wet fields. We believe you. Get out, the walk will do you good!!
